I have read the article and am crafting a response.
The one piece of useful information I have gleaned from that article is
that carbon black is very hygroscopic. That is in keeping with why we
blame the back coating--it is bringing the water to the polymer, both sides.
Thanks for pointing it out. I've been aware of Mr. Richardson's work
since probably 2005.
I always like to keep an open mind.
