Yes and no. It gets convoluted.
Thomson bought Technicolor and then renamed itself after its
acquisition, at one point selling off consumer electronics operations
but apparently retaining the RCA trademark, which it owns.
However, at least according to Wikipedia, BMG had a perpetual license to
RCA's interests in the HMV/Nipper branding that survived the GE disposal
of all of the RCA marques to Thomson, and the BMG assignment of the
record label trademarks to Sony Music.
So as it stands now, RCA Trademark Management in France is more or less
a holding company for the trademark(s), owned by Technicolor SA which
used to be Thomson SA.
