Some further information about "PROGRAM RECORDS" -
EXLP 707
liner notes: MICHAEL HAUPTMANN
There is a Michael Hauptmann listed as a conductor on the Bach Cantatas website.
Anyone have information about him ?????
in notes small print bottom left: PERIOD MUSIC CO.
this leads to the REMINGTON site (Soundfountain) http://www.soundfountain.org/rem/remgrischkat.html
Period Music Co., 884, 10th Avenue, New York 19.
RENAISSANCE was also a PERIOD MUSIC label.
PERIOD was their main label.
Any further information about the missing PROGRAM numbers ???
Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving, Thomas.

In an online Janos Starker discography
http://fischer.hosting.paran.com/music/Starker/discography-starker.htm
lists
KODALY: Sonata for piano and violoncello, op.4
listed as 1952 - perhaps they guessed the date or from a review, or actually released later than the Billboard advance notice ????
also issued on
PERIOD SPL 602/SPL 720/TE 1093
CLUB MONDIAL du DISQUE CMD 351
and on CD:
Philips 422 302-2
Essential Media 9423 1101 (2CD)
Forgotten Records FR 453
Spectrum MZD 1123 (4CD)
HOW DO PHILIPS and PERIOD (Everest / Essential Media) both have this recording ?????
Anyone have any of the other PROGRAM recording on other labels ?????
Any listings for 700 701 705 706 above 707 ?????????????
Thanks!
Thomas.
