Good afternoon, everyone,
Our library has been offered a small collection of CDs as a donation, but my commander is reluctant to accept them for fear there may be legal restrictions against government organizations receiving gifts such as this.
There are no strings attached to the donation. The owner simply wants to stop packing and shipping them around the globe every time he moves.
Do any of you have a policy statement or some documentation that would allay any concerns my bosses have about this practice?
Or am I wrong about such a policy. (This was never a legal issue in my public library job.)
Thanks very much for your advice!
Russ
