I prefer stereo. *more than half the transfers have a better quality on one
side* due to unknown factors, but especially on homemade 78s or cardboard
records (such as Gem wartime). all this is possibly due to previous
playback wear. as for cantilever resonance, I'll take improved transfer
(S/N) any day over such issues. I also prefer playback at 33 or 45 for
transfers,
