For those interested...
Over the past year, the Courts, Intellectual Property, and Internet subcommittee of U.S. House Judiciary Committee has held a series of hearings to gather information and comments for an update to U.S. copyright law. To date, the hearings have focused on broad "Big Picture" themes such as Fair Use. Now they are beginning a process of more targeted hearings.
The first one will take place Thursday, March 13, 2014 and will examine Section 512 of Title 17, which includes the DMCA "Safe Harbor" and "takedown" provisions among other items. Written statements and a link to the hearing will appear here:
