I am about to transfer a bunch of old Scotch tapes from the 78's made in Italy. They have black plastic boxes and white fronts, the reels are white.

The tape tend to be a bit sticky, the tape is lugging a bit on the reel, and my Revox B77 has problem with doing them properly.
Is this a kind of bad type of tape?
They were quite common here in Norway in the 70's.
Were the Scotch tapes manufactured in Italy different from the type manufactured in US?
