Carol,
I'm playing around with both Protege and WebProtege. I would love some
documentation on how to add instance data (if you have it) to your
ontology, or how to create instance data within WebProtege. I've been
able to load instance data with an ontology, but have not been able to
create instance data within WebProtege. (Tania suggested this was
possible.) I a couple of ontologies to try this out, but couldn't quite
figure out how to create the instances within WebProtege.
Note that I'm NOT seeing WebProtege as a data creation tool per se, but
want to create a small amount of instance data in order to test the
ontology and data. Obviously, one wants to see not only how "valid" data
works, but what happens with data that is incomplete, wonky, etc.
Later I will venture into reasoning, but first I need data to reason on.
Thanks so much for all the Stanford work and for your willingness to help.

Carol is a senior research scientist in my group who has outstanding ties to the library community after many years in government service. As Philip knows, folks at Stanford believe that Web Protégé could form the foundation for a useful set of tools to aid catalogers in developing, maintaining, and integrating BibFrame records. If there is interest in such possibilities, we’d be delighted to get together and to discuss further.
