Hi John:
No need for the R2R tape. I'd like to stay focused on the specific query, which will need
involvement from our UK listmembers -- FIRST PRESSING of the original EMI/HMV LP. Later pressings
(from the first re-cuts in the UK) seem to be off-pitch. All of the U.S. Angel pressings we've
analized are on-pitch and NO CD/SACD/LP reissues are on-pitch. The problem seems to have occurred at
a dubbing point, either in the U.S. or the U.K. We're trying to determine when/where the error
occurred.
