I, for one, am buying the music, not the medium. If what I want is on an
SACD that's what I'll buy. If it's at eClassical and it's a download,
that's how I will get it, if it's an lp, I'll buy the lp. If I buy an lp
or a cd or an SACD, the first thing I do is transfer it to my hard drive,
then I put the physical medium in a box, and in a while I forget where the
box is. The second thing I do is back it up to an ext HD. Hopefully, if a
lightning bolt melts my HD and my ext HD, after diligent searching, I will
find the box where the original source is stored, or go back online to
where I originally got the music, and start the process over again.
