Could you please explain how they thought phantom-powered mics would work?
The one aside (and perhaps they were confusing this) was the
CBS-originated triplet mic cable--I've used some of that--where there
were three conductors. At the mic end, you connected the three
conductors (green to pin one) and then at the amplifier end, both shield
and green were connected to pin one. This really introduced as many
issues as it solved.
