A friend has burnt some home-recorded audio tracks onto DVDs. The DVDs
are acting as Audio CDs and the audio tracks are recorded as small CDA
files. I am trying to rip the DVDs to my hard-drive and then convert
them to WAV & MP3 formats. However the s/w I'm using NCH Express CD
Ripper doesn't recognise the disks - it is expecting CDs not DVDs -
although the DVDs are in normal Audio CD format.
NCH Switch Sound Converter will read the DVDs and extract the audio
files, and it can then convert them to say WAV / MP3. BUT the audio
tracks themselves are numerous with fairly arbitrary breaks so I also
need to join them all up into one long track. I don't relish doing
that with Audacity using copy and paste editing!!
Please can anyone advise. many thanks - Chris B.
