Hi Roger:
I suspect a non-ASCII format problem is occuring when your e-mail is sent, probably a software
incompatibility on your computer. I doubt Outlook.com is causing the problem but it is entirely
possible. Do we have anyone else on the list using Outlook.com as their mail provider? Do they have
similar problems?
Some trouble-shooting ...
1. do you use a dedicated e-mail program or send e-mail via a web browser? What specifically are you
using to send e-mail?
2. do you work on a PC or a Mac? Is your OS up to date? Are you using a Linux-type OS?
3. do you run some kind of 3rd party "shell" over your operating system? This could include
handicap-access software. This sort of program could well be inserting non-ASCII or extra ASCII
characters into things you type.
The answers to these questions will tell us what your e-mail creation and sending environment is.
The problem is likely in there somewhere, but it could be caused by something non-standard happening
to the mail as it passes through Outlook.com.
