Dear Dolores,
I work for the Archives Portal Europe (www.archivesportaleurope.net)
in the work package for standards. We developed a European profile for
EAD which is called apeEAD (Archives Portal Europe EAD). You will find
a lot information about our implementation of standards at:
http://www.apex-project.eu/index.php/en/outcomes/52-public/about-the-project/outcomes/35-tools-and-manuals
For example, here's an apeEAD guide available:
http://www.apex-project.eu/images/docs/apenet_ead_finding_aid_holdings_guide.pdf
as well as the apeEAD schema:
http://www.archivesportaleurope.net/Portal/profiles/apeEAD.xsd
The more than 48 million descriptive units, which can be found in the
Archives Portal Europe at the moment and which also include data from
the National Archives of Ireland, are all based on apeEAD-finding aids.
It will be a pleasure for our project to send to you more information
on apeEAD and also other standards/profiles that we are using in the
Archives Portal Europe. Do not hesitate to contact us. Should you be
interested in having one member of our standards group as a reviewer
for your EAD User Guidelines, please let me know.
Best regards
Susanne
