He worked at the Gramophone Shop and succeeded R.D. Darrell an author and
probably editor of their publications. I don't know if there was someone
else in the job between them.
They also published a newsletter on which he worked. He worked behind the
counter but I don't recall him being a buyer there and don't recall who was.
Maybe Roger Newhall will have more concrete data. Last I heard, he was in
Washington state, Seattle? I don't think Roger is/was an ARSC member but
he was a well known karate competition referee, a branch of investigation I
leave to others.
I knew Bob casually as a fellow record collector and writer about records.
He may have also been a member of the NY Vocal Record Collectors Society.

Subject: [ARSCLIST] who is/was ROBERT H REID ???
I've found him listed as editor of the 1948 GRAMOPHONE SHOP ENCYCLOPEDIA,
and as writer of notes to Gramophone Shop album Purcell Eight Suites for
Harpsichord (Sylvia Marlowe),
and a number of early LP's on Urania, Period..
Anyone have any biographical info ???
