Hi, Tom,
As to your question about supporting 192 kHz sampling frequency,
Samplitude (and presumably Sequoia) says:
"Different audio formats from 16 to 32 bits and sample rates of up to
384 kHz can be employed in the same arrangement."
Although the current drop-down list of sample rates only goes to 96,000,
I was able to type in 192,000 and create a virtual project. I loaded in
a 96/24 file and selected object resampling (upsampling on the fly) and
then attempted a few processing functions. Things worked although there
were some hiccups but that could have been from latency anywhere in the
system.
In the bad old days of XP, we would have these monitoring hiccups often
when layeing on effects and processing, but when rendering audio they
would not occur as that is sample based and not time based.
Don't forget, Samplitude was already doing an on-the-fly up conversion.
My Fireface UFX recognized the 192 kHz playback and acknowledged it had
switched to that.
I checked iZotope RX3 and it had a drop down in the Sample Rate
Converter for an option of 192,000 kHz. I believe all of the plug-ins
will work at that sampling frequency, but I'm not certain of ALL the
plug-ins in either application.
Cheers,
Richard
