According to the online FRITZ REINER discography,
the 1949 recording of the Bach Brandenburg concerti
first issued as 78rpm sets 902 and 903, then reissued
on LP as Columbia ML 4281-4283, Entre 3104-3106,
and Harmony 7062-7064.
There was also a Columbia Special Products release of Volume 1 on P14161,
but vol 2 & 3 were NOT issued.
Does anyone know the story behind the CSP issue (i.e. was it issued as a
premium for some company, or marketed by Columbia. )
Why only the first volume???
These recordings have also appeared on CD's from
LYS and NAXOS. Was the Naxos release actual CD or only as downloads ??
Thanks.
Thomas.
