On a couple of occasions it's been suggested that providing examples is
a good way to illustrate issues. Below are a couple of examples in
textual form, because I'm unsure how to code them as BIBFRAME. All URIs
should work.
(1) We have several print copies of "The Maoris in the Great War" (
http://victoria.lconz.ac.nz/vwebv/holdingsInfo?bibId=174611 ). We also
have a available in digital. The archival form of the digital version is
in TEI/XML ( http://nzetc.victoria.ac.nz/tei-source/CowMaor.xml ) but
it's also available as a set of browsable HTML pages (
http://nzetc.victoria.ac.nz/tm/scholarly/tei-CowMaor.html ) and as an
ePub ( http://nzetc.victoria.ac.nz/downloads/CowMaor.epub ). All digital
version are under a CC license (
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/nz/ ). The print work is
not. How do we encode the relationships between these versions of the work?
(2) Periodically, someone reports a error in the OCR of the digital
work, which results in us updating the TEI/XML and that flowing to the
HTML and ePUB some time later (days / weeks). How do we represent the
updated status of these?
(3) We'd quite like to put cataloguing information inside the ePUB when
we build it (think cataloguing in publication, for ePUBs). What would
that look like? [Note that for CiP, we can't use a hash of the ePUB as
an identifier, since the hash would be inside the thing which the hash
is constructed of.]
cheers
