Bruce Bastin from the UK, owner of INTERSTATE MUSIC (Harlequin, Magpie,
Flyright, etc) just commented. I quote with his permission:
"We are both used to seeing our work stolen but no-one seems to notice.
No, I'm wrong; no-one cares. I've seen my LPs copied -all the music-
and once, also with the sleeve front and back in full. I've had CDs
copied in full and in part so many times, as you well know.
Recently I found out that a Flyright LP ("Hipshakin' : Live in London")
by bluesman J. B. Hutto, which I recorded at a London club in February
1972 using a hand-held tape-recorder (with Hutto's permission) has
recently become a download-only release on Arkama; known to me only from
an article in the magazine BLUES&RHYTHM, 293, p.6."
We at ARSC have a firm stand on copyrights. We should be watchful of
illegal practices. And certainly not promote or review illegal practices.
