Not necessarily. I believe ther4 have been studies of indigenous peoples
living in non-technological environments; hearing in ages males was the
same as that of young males, and equivalent to that of a teenager in the
technologized world.
So hearing loss with age may not be an inherent process, but a result of
xposure to loud noises (subway trains, bulldozers, pile drivers,
motorcycles, loud concerts, etc. etc.)
