Hi, Martin,
Another vote here for iZotope RX4 Pro. In the spirit of full disclosure,
after sending them several LONG notes about things that could improve
the product, I am now a beta tester.
Frankly, I do not use it as a plug-in because, at least in Samplitude,
it works MUCH slower than if you use it in the native interface. The
native interface also offers a very nice simultaneous waveform/spectral
display.
Yes, you need something with at least, I would think a 4000 Passmark
score. I'm using a machine in the high 5000s - a i7 930 with 12 GB of
RAM. Izotope will run all 8 "cores" to 100% on the Processor Meter while
doing many things. If it runs within Samplitude (at least the last time
I checked it) it only seems to run the process in one "core." I put
"core" in quotes as the machine is hyperthreading on four physical cores.
Cheers,
Richard

I'm considering upgrading to the latest SF version and thought I'd ask the group for suggestions about accessory software bundles/plugins that may superior to what SF offers that may be used within that platform. Any suggestions or thoughts appreciated.
