The RIVERSIDE FOLKLORE SERIES was superb, edited primarily by
Dr.Kenneth S. Goldstein. Many of the albums were re-released
on the WASHINGTON label.
Almost none of the albums made it to CD, except for a handful of Japanese
issues, some Topic CD's, and 4 compilation CD's from Fantasy.
The 7 LP English & Scottish Popular Ballads performed by Ewan
MacColl and A.L.Lloyd are currently available on 4 CD's (a few
songs deleted) from Topic and Fellside (two 2-CD sets, one MacColl
the other Lloyd).
Please let us know of any others! Thanks.
RIP Mr. Keepnews.
Best wishes, Thomas.

Riverside also produced some notable folk-revival recordings in the 1950s
and early 1960s. I gather those were the purview of Grauer rather than
Keepnews.
Peace,
Paul
