You will get more knowledgeable responses, but from me, I say you do not mention who does the transfers, and I would recommend you either hire someone professional to do it and listen to their advice, or farm out the actual work to a pro. There are so many variables to getting great results! First and for most is getting excellent analog playback from each tape, the first step is most important!
I do not know of any complete systems, only individuals using quality equipment and well-earned expertise to do the best possible job.
I’d offer my services but I’m in California… and just a small freelancer.
Best,

Sadly, the Otari is no longer operational, so we are looking for a replacement system. Are there new digitizers out there? Where are the best places to purchase new systems? What is the best, low maintenance system? What are you guys using and why do you like it? I am not an AV person, I don't even know how to run a reel to reel player, but I will be making the purchasing decision, so any advice you guys can offer will be greatly appreciated!
