AWP doesn't seem to me to be a good bet for promoting LAL.  I think
that program would be much better pitched at NCTE.  That happens each
Nov, and while it's too late to send in a proposal for a panel this
year, I was going to bring up at our meetings a suggestion that we look
into taking a table in the exhibits hall to promote it.

AWP is really about writers ... mostly new and/or more literary writers
.. lots of MFA programs and small presses, etc.  There is a strong
book arts component, esp in producing broadsides of poetry ... this is
a conference/organization in which poetry is alive and thriving, along
with short fiction, etc.

That's why I think Josephine's idea about discoverability of
new/emerging authors and how CfBs do that would be attractive.
