ALISE Technical Services Education SIG session
ALISE 2016 Conference
January 5-8, 2016
Boston, Massachusetts
Hello!
The Technical Services Education Special Interest Group invites presentation proposals for its SIG session at the 2016 ALISE conference. "Radical Change: Inclusion & Innovation" is the conference theme, with a special interest in topics such as cultural diversity, intellectual freedom, and social justice.
The Technical Services Education SIG would like to contribute to this theme by focusing on the topic of "Teaching Ethics in Technical Services." The goal of this session is to explore ways to teach ethics in technical services and knowledge organization courses. Presentations may address any aspect of teaching ethics in cataloging, classification, information organization, indexing, metadata, etc.
If you are interested in presenting during this SIG session, then please send a 200-300 word proposal to Gretchen Hoffman ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by June 30, 2015.
Please e-mail me if you have questions. I look forward to your submission!
Thanks so much,
Gretchen Hoffman
