Would that not always be true of any prescribed list? In RDA/MARC21
we can use any popular exact term as unit name, rather than repeating
a more general term from the RDA carrier list. I assume Bibframe
would have a unit name (aka SMD) tag which would accept any desired
terms. For example, the MRIs add "kit" to the RDA carrier list, a
term we often use in collation, and the term we most miss from AACR2's
GMD terms. There will always be a need for terms not in a prescribed
list, as well as lacking a code to substitute for the term.
