The owner of the wire should talk to Art Shifrin, and also Jamie Howarth at Plangent Process. Art
has the best playback system for wires, a modern servo-controlled machine rather than an antique
that was plagued by wow and flutter when it was new. Most of these wires have hums or other
steady-state tones on them, which Jamie can lock onto and complete speed-stabilize the audio. This
is very important with wires because those machines had what would be considered pathetic wow and
flutter specs.
