Hi Steve,
The wire spool that you have pre-dates the later models that use the
standardized "Webcor" size spools. The recording could be anything from
a home recording to a dictation machine recording to a military
recording. I actually have a machine designed for paying the small
spindle wire recordings. However, I like Tom Fine's suggestion of
checking with Art Shifrin for the reasons stated. I would be happy to be
your fall-back guy.
