AMIA 2015
November 18-21, 2015 | Portland, Oregon
Workshops, Hack Day, The Reel Thing, DAS - all great reasons to be in Portland in November - but there's more!
AMIA 2015 opens on Wednesday, November 18th with pre-conference workshops, a half day edition of The Reel Thing, the Opening Reception, the DAS Keynote, and the annual Trivia Throwdown.
More than 50 sessions during the week, including two program streams:
ˇ The Third Leg of the Stool: Access, Outreach, and Use of Moving Image Archives - Think of the mission of the archival profession as a stool with three legs. If one leg is missing, then the stool will topple over.
ˇ Advocacy - looking at international, personal and project-based advocacy cases and how everyone can be more effective advocates in their own situation.
There is also the Vendor Café, Archival Screening Night and great screenings. Take a look at the Preliminary schedule - session descriptions, speaker information, and the look at the screenings slated for Friday and Saturday.
