Colleagues,
I'm very pleased to announce the launch of the University of Hawaii's
Open Educational Resources OER repository.
Information about the repository is available here:
http://oer.hawaii.edu/about-oer-at-uh/
I've taken the liberty of publishing 50 or so documents there that I use
in the cataloging classes I teach in the graduate LIS program here.
They all have Creative Commons "CC by" licenses that allow for unlimited
reuse and modification. Included are syllabi, handouts, lecture slides,
lecture notes, assignments, answer keys, guidelines, templates, in-class
exercises, and some other things. In its current state, the repository
does not allow me to organize the resources in any kind of outline form,
but you can sort by resource type, and for better context, you can
consult these syllabi:
http://www2.hawaii.edu/~chopey/606sylla.htm
http://www2.hawaii.edu/~chopey/rda.pdf
I hope that these may be of some use to you if you teach cataloging.
Even better, I hope you will consider improving them and making them
available for reuse by others with a new Creative Commons license!
More information about Creative Commons and other licenses is available
here: http://oer.hawaii.edu/getting-started/copyright-for-oer/
Aloha,
Mike Chopey
