Hello, archivists!
I'm Dana from ProjectARCC and stopping in with some updates about our
activities lately.
On October 19th, we held a successful tweet-up in partnership with ALA's
Sustain Roundtable. Carey MacDonald, the Reduce chair of ProjectARCC, wrote
up a brief discussion of the discussion and included a Storify here:

Many of our members live in the New England area, and there will be a group
of us attending the Rally for Justice, Jobs & Climate for the area on
December 12th. To find out more about the rally, and meet us there, see
here: http://projectarcc.org/2015/11/18/rally-for-climate-boston-2015/
Committee members crafted short reports of the actions we've taken since we
began in April. And it's a lot! You can read about activities here:

Lastly, members of ProjectARCC not only have their eyes on COP21 (United
National Framework Convention on Climate Change) but are also issuing a
challenge for you archivists during this huge event. Use #preserveclimate
to elevate your collections, and tell us about collections you have in a
survey. Collections of interest include:
- materials documenting natural disasters
- dated historic photographs of landscapes and agriculture
- records of climate change or environmental activist groups
- scientific data sets for climate change research
- government records about local, regional, or national response to
climate change
- manuscript collections documenting how people feel or felt about
climate change
- papers of climate scientists
- recorded lectures, interviews, and debates about climate change
Read more about the challenge here:

Thank you for following ProjectARCC's news. Let us know if you'd like to
join us!
ABOUT PROJECT_ARCC:
********************
On Earth Day in 2015, a group of alarmed archivists founded ProjectARCC.org,
a task force with a mission to motivate the archival community to affect
climate change. We believe that as those responsible for the preservation
of history for future generations, we should be as passionate and concerned
about preserving a safe and habitable planet for ours and future
generations.
