Received the same thing myself last week and meant to post about it. The
tape I got was played-on, not wound-on the reel hub. My investigations too
turned up the Scientology connection, so I had wondered if I had received
some sort of expose broadcast. But then I found the enclosed letter, which
I had overlooked.
Specifying the time without the thickness or speed leads to some ambiguity,
but the tape itself appears to be in promo condition. As to stickiness. . .?
