Tom:
I just read that they now have a new Editor.
BTW, the magazine was co-founded by (and funded for many years by) author
John Grisham. It is now run by a Non-profit.
I was just suggesting that for a few bucks more over the music issue you
can support them and get three more with at least one good music related
article .
You can see the contents of the Georgia issue on their website. I'm
looking forward to mine.

One man's opinion ... some good music-related articles and many
over-wraught fiction and poetry
pieces. The music issue is very intellectual and "curated," which takes
some of the soul out of
everything, and the magazine has a very distinct English
Major/semi-academic feel to it. Also, way
too much first-person (why do young writers insist on inserting themselves
in everything? why can't
they get out of the way and let their subjects speak for themselves?). If
that's your thing, then it
does it well. I prefer more earthiness, brevity and soul with my arts. The
"curated" CDs with the
music issue are quite good, in my experience. Sometimes they go obscure
for obscurity's sake, but
