While admittedly somewhat distantly related to the work that we do, I
wanted to acknowledge that after 36 years the City of Cincinnati has
placed a historical marker near the spot where eleven died in panicked
onrush of crowd at a concert by The Who December 3, 1979.

This was the result of an effort of the Cincinnati Music Heritage
Foundation, the Bootsy Collins Foundation and Cincinnati mayor John
Cranley, among others. It is long overdue, and I wish I could've attended
the ceremony myself. But I'm very glad to see this tragic event
recognized at last.
