Here's some material from ABC promos at ABC Prospect (Hollywood). At 1:25 into the video, you will see a reel of Ampex 456 2" mounted on an MCI 24 track. I wonder how long this reel took to get sticky (or maybe it already was)?

Alert viewers will note an Ampex VPR-2 sitting adjacent to the MCI in the same machine room.

And no one can beat Ernie Anderson for an identifiable network TV voice! Danny Dark at NBC Burbank came very close though.
