According to the 3M/Scotch Swedish agent in the 70´s 3M did have a magnetic tape production plant in Great Britain.

We bought 1000s of 10.5" Scotch 207 and have had zero problems so far.

I still have 500+ reels 207 stored no sign of SS or any other problem.

Only thing is the usual bad slitting but still better than any Ampex seen.
