Yes - all this is known. But the original recording belonged to the
Alan Lomax Archives. They reportedly broke the glass master - shipping
it to the Beeb. However Lomax himself had recorded it onto tape - and
the LOC has found this and digitised it. Sadly the academics of
various Universities are keeping this recording to themselves. Frankly
its not that great - at least the Soundcloud clip isn't. Other Radio
Ballads HAVE been released on the Alan Lomax website [The Old Chisholm
Trail at http://research.culturalequity.org/get-radio-detailed-show.do?showId=9]
and on an Amazon (CD) [The Martins & The Coys at
