LM was for mono; the corresponding stereo prefix was LSC.
Labels with stereo LDS prefixes can be seen at
http://ronpenndorf.com/labelography4.html ; they may have been for export,
since they say RCA VICTOR across the top of the label but do not have a
dog, shaded or otherwise.
