To be fair, cylinder dictation machines continued to be manufactured by
McGraw-Edison (and by Dictaphone) right up through the 1940s. I would
imagine that blanks continued to be available for some time after that,
although by the 1950s both concerns were making flexible plastic "belt"
records and machines, and then magnetic tape.
