Just so you’ll know - Krishna Das is a failed (American) rock star who does Kirtan, chanting the Sanskrit names of gods in a call and response form. Very popular with the yoga culture, a sort of urban music form ond culture that started with the hippies who went to India in the 60s and 70s, came back and live more like Hinus than the Christians and Jews they were before they met their gurus. It’s really odd to “normal” people, but a very popular sub-genre of new age and meditation folks. They get quite high and enthusiastic singing this way, to the accompaniment of harmoniums and tablas and various strings, even guitars.
Not so unusual here in California, where as sound person I work with another of that ilk named Jai Uttal. I’m not a follower, just a sound guy whom they like.

and KD has an even worse voice, and 121 albums <https://www.amazon.com/s?rh=n%3A163856011%2Ck%3Akrishna+das%2Cp_n_feature_browse-bin%3A625150011&keywords=krishna+das&ie=UTF8&qid=1458682251>
More than you ever wanted to know - but they have a large enthusiastic following and sell out halls all over the world!
