Wendy, I agree that your profession (or mine, or anyone else's) shouldn't be blanket-slagged. That's
rude. But, for goodness sakes, your colleagues should DEFEND it (as you and a couple of others
have), not run for a "safe place." By definition, "safe" is self-limiting, and if you run there
because others put you on the run, they've won. Stay here, contribute here, argue here. That
discourse is the learning process.
