I think if all the 670s have always related to the same identity, then there is no change of identity associated with that LCCN, so I would re-code the record as differentiated. I don't think the "last identity on undifferentiated record" scenario would apply, because the record was never truly undifferentiated, and it only ever represented one identity.
Regards
Richard

Subject: [PCCLIST] Undifferentiated NARs that turn out not to be
I recently came across an undifferentiated NAR (n 77000005 (Stuart, Garry)) in which all of the 670s turned out to be by the same person. As a result, I added my research to the undifferentiated NAR, deleted the bracketed 670s, and then reported it to [log in to unmask] for deletion as the last remaining identity, based on the instructions in DCM Z1. However, in at least one similar case in the past (n 2006013168, Bing, Alison; historical copies of the NAR appear below), it appears the 008/32 in the existing record was recoded from 'b' to 'a', and the record was retained. So, if we discover that an undifferentiated NAR represents a single identity, should we (at least for non-LC PCC members) treat it as a last-identity situation requiring the cancellation of the undifferentiated NAR and creation of a new NAR, or is it ok to change 008/32 from 'b' to 'a' as if that byte had simply been miscoded?
