Aha, I see that there is <note type="exhibit">, maybe that's what we could use. A class isn't an exhibit, but you could argue that it's functionally similar: a curated group of things, selected for a specific purpose, and shown to people accompanied by commentary. Yes?

Subject: [MODS] Question about objects that are part of exhibit
So, suppose that we want to "tag" some of our digital objects as being part of an exhibit, or used in a class. This isn't really a subject, and it also doesn't seem to fit relatedItem. Any ideas on what might we use for this?
Analogous I suppose to MARC 585.
