I'm not certain that Plangent Processes will me much more expensive than
fussing with Capstan...and the results might be better, but the problem
is you have cassette copies. Both will cost a fair amount of money.

search for the master tape and especially don't use a cassette. Do you
have an LP? That might provide a better transfer and the clicks and pops
clean up fairly well, but if you're going to sell this, finding the
master tape is the best bet. I know you know that in your heart, but
it's worth another look for anything but a cassette. Even a loop bin
master would be better than a cassette.
