I was audio taping the ARSC Conferences in those days, and sharing my
results with Hagendorn (sp?), I have most of 1984, but not the banquet, as
set-up was difficult. I will loan the tapes to someone who will digitalize
them.

I started videotaping the conferences -- including the banquets -- in
1985. So if he spoke in 1984 in Bowling Green, I do not have it on
video. But I might have it on audio. I was the one who invited him to
speak, and I probably was extra eager to get it on tape. It would take
a while for me to go through my audio recordings while we are working
now on organizing the videos. If the ARSChive in Maryland was still as
well organized by year in separate annual boxes as Harold Heckendorn had
done in Ohio, it would be easy to see if there already is a copy there.
We recorded on reel-to-reel that year using Bill Schurk's hi-fi system.

I was told by R.D. Darrell that he wrote almost all of every issue under
various names since Axel Johnson was a wealthy alcoholic and had also
been
hurt in an auto accident.
Darrell gave a presentation at an ARSC conference many years ago. I
don't
know if there is a tape of it.
Steve:
According to the ARSDC Website Darrell gave a presentation at the
Banquet
at the 1984 conference. I don't think the BANQUET speeches were recorded
as
the Conference sessions were. I did find the TEST of the "updated"
presentation on the ARSC web site:
