I've a record I expect to list on eBaythat bears a tag identifying it as an
exhibit.
It says:
EXHIBIT
U.S. Dist Court
S.D.of NY
Rubber stamped: Jan 18, 1943 (twice)
Machine stamped: CIV 10 412
.
Itsa 10" record on the Strong label, 5011, Im Hotel zur grunen Weise. Fox
Trot/ Wenn draussen an der Havel. One Step
Performer is Ivan Franks.
This record is made by Philip Frank New York, U.S.A. Mx52-2/ no visible
number in dead wax.
It appears to be acoustic, c. 1920, perhaps a bit earlier.
Anyone know what case tis was? I seem to recall another red label dispute
around this time but I can't find a reference to it. And I don't have
access to a legal library here.
