Thanks for the response, Sandy. I was just planning for our Intranet. Is there an easy way to import MARC records into Excel?
Best,
Chris

For a collection of 1000 I would recommended Excel. You and your patrons should be comfortable in using it.
By online, do you mean an Intranet or truly available to the public?

Subject: [FEDLIB] Catalog from Scratch?
All,
I'm rather new to the world of Federal librarianship. One of the tasks I have before me is to create a catalog describing a small monograph collection (~1000 titles). There has been no prior attempt at creating an online catalog of these materials. I'm looking for recommendations as to the most appropriate tool to use for this task. MS Access? Excel? LibaryThing? LibraryWorld? Anything else anyone has done?
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions and/or advice!
Best,
Chris
