I had a bad batch of Scotch 207 where the whole box had a defect about
4-5 minutes in. Fortunately, there was enough lag between my primary and
backup recorder to cover it, but phew, was that close.
From that point on, I bought Maxell UD-35 (I was doing live classical
concert recordings and needed the length).
The Maxell still plays well today.
