Library Program Manager for a multi-library system with Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) at Camp Pendleton, CA, near San Diego.
This position oversees a Main Library, 3 Branch libraries (2 on board Camp Pendleton and 1 at MCLB Barstow, CA), a Brig Library and the only Bookmobile in the DoD.
Position will supervise 2 other professional Librarians as well as over 20 Library Technicians.
Camp Pendleton offers a range of Makerspace programming as well as traditional library programs for children, teens and adults. Camp Pendleton libraries, in the next few years, will be transitioning from the Dewey Decimal classification for non-fiction to the word-based Semper FindIt! classification system. This is a bookstore model and as MCCS libraries convert to this model they are also renovated and shelving and furnishings refreshed.
