My Sigma MV-95 was an old stock discounted model which does work but I concur with Doug in that the signal does have to be rather strong to get a really good reading.

I just bought a new Arnold viewer and am disappointed with the quality:
It has bubbles along with the magnetic fluid. It's not useless, but one wonders about their quality control.
